I would not buy a trek with bb90 again. It is a horrible design the non-drive side bearings fail very very quickly not matter what steps are taken. Neither Shimano or Trek will take responsibility and fix the problem. They need to complete responsibility and design a better bearing. This new design lasts about six months before it rusts.
I can't get BB90 bearings to last in my Madone with Shimano Ultegra Cranks. I don't ride in the rain much. This is a flawed design. This type of bearing lasted six months before rusting all over the place and nearly seizing. The old standard bearings lasted a month or two. Fortunately, my local shop is very kind and did not charge me.
