2013 Trek Madone 6.5

Trek's Madone 6 Series is race-bike royalty with an aero advantage. Hand built in the USA from Trek's 600 Series OCLV Carbon, this king of the concrete boasts Trek's super-aerodynamic KVF tube technology to smooth airflow from tip-to-tail and effortlessly turn pedal power into speed. The Madone also features Trek's stiff, beefy BB90 bottom bracket for optimal power transmission, their tapered E2 front end so you slice through corners with pinpoint precision, and an integrated and adjustable seatmast for outstanding compliance. Plus, the Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic drivetrain offers practically telepathic shifting and the blazing-fast Race Lite wheels are an absolute dream to ride.

      Comments:

Just came off a Madone 6.9 SSL destroyed by a car - almost me too. I thought my life was over and I could never find another machine as quick and snappy. Enter the new Madone 6.5. Immediately obvious Trek has now defined race from a more casual experience training or century riders bike. This is a racers dream- incredibly tight and stiff. Stamp on the pedals and it responds instantly with unbelievable acceleration. On fast descents held its line perfectly and begged for more speed. If you have ridden any of the previous generation Madones you will immediately see Trek has taken us into the new millennium with this new design and carbon layup. It is my 3rd Madone and the best bike I have ever thrown a leg over hands down.

Love Project One!! Built my 6.5 the way I needed it for size and the way I wanted it to look. Love the SRAM Force gruppo. Can really feel the bike accelerate with every pedal input. Upgraded to the XXX bars and worth every penny. 52cm H1 weighed in at 14.5lbs before pedals and accessories.

        Comments:

Just got this bike, and literally cant stop staring at it and then trying to plan my next ride. Its stiff, snappy, stock components are great, eats up road imperfections, and is super light. My training partner rides a new Cervelo and is "Jealous of your bike, jerk". Thanks!

Bought the Madone 6.5 H2 with SRAM components. Larger gear in back for the tougher climbs. The bike handles well in all condtions. Bought the bike through Project One, I chose the blue/black/white color. Great bike.

          Comments:

After riding a Trek FX 7.1 for the last year, I now know why so many people are going to carbon fiber road bikes. This bike is nothing but awesome. It is just so fast. The guys at the bike shop weighed it before pedals and accessories and it weighed in at 15.1 lbs. I ordered my 6.5 Madone through ProjectOne. [...]I'm very happy with my purchase & love riding this bike.

            Comments:

This bike is so light that it almost flies. I can't believe how fast it is downhill and how easy it it to ride uphill. I wondered if I was spending money unwisely as I am no Lance Armstrong, but this is one of those times when spending money on quality pays off in performance, speed, comfort and distance.
